About
TEAM IN ACTION
Warriors is UM Cheerleading’s less advanced team — designed for those who are interested in cheer but do not wish to commit to a full competition team. The team focuses on side-line cheerleading performance, with opportunities to perform at UM events.
There will also be some side-line cheerleading opportunities for the Warriors at university sports events. This is the ideal starting point for complete beginners who want to try cheerleading in a fun, welcoming environment.
In season 2024/25, Warriors also performs at MVV Maastricht football matches as part of the new club collaboration.

Coach
Evyen “Casey” van den Boorn
Hi everyone, my name is Evyen AKA Casey. I’m 29 years old, and I was the coach for Warriors in 24/25. I’m a local from Maastricht who has been in love with cheerleading for a very long time — going into my 7th season with UM Cheerleading and 2nd full season as coach. Outside of UM Cheerleading, I teach cheerleading to kids at an international school in Maastricht.
