About

TEAM IN ACTION

Legends is UM Cheerleading’s most decorated competitive team, competing at Senior Coed Level 4. Since 2017, the team has claimed Dutch National titles in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2024 — and delivered their greatest result yet in 2023/24, taking home both Dutch National Champions and Grand National Champions.

Heading into 2026/27, Legends is leveling up: the team is bringing together athletes from both Legends and Royals into one combined roster, raising the bar for what this team can achieve.

Legends competes at the highest level, nationally and internationally — from Dutch Nationals and the European Cheerleading Championships to Varsity events like the German All Level Championship (GALC). The team trains twice a week.

No previous experience is required to join — what matters most is your attitude, work ethic, and readiness to learn from experienced coaches. That said, a background in gymnastics, dance, or strength training is a great plus.

What we look for

TRYOUT CRITERIA

Legends looks for athletes with strong technical skills, good communication, and solid athletic ability. Experience in gymnastics, dance, or cheerleading is a plus and can help you hit the ground running, but it’s not a requirement.

Coaches are ready to develop the right attitude and work ethic into technical skill.
