About

TEAM IN ACTION

Heroes is UM Cheerleading’s Senior Coed Level 3 competitive team. They compete at national competitions such as Dutch Nationals, as well as Varsity competitions like the German All Level Championship.

Heroes routines are generally longer and incorporate strong dance elements alongside stunting. Formerly known as SMOED, Heroes has a long history of podium finishes, most recently at Dutch Nationals 2025/2026.

Heroes looks for incoming students with potential, as well as skilled athletes ready to contribute to the team.

TRYOUT CRITERIA

Thinking about trying out for Heroes? This is the team for you if you’re looking for a place to grow your dance and stunting skills, want honest feedback you can actually apply, and are excited to be part of a team that values spirit and coordination as much as raw skill. No specific skills are required to join — just bring your energy and willingness to learn. Dance, tumbling, or strength experience is a bonus, but any sport background works.
